Qualifi Level 4 – Diploma in Aesthetic Procedures for Skin Rejuvenation
Course Overview
The aim of the QUALIFI Level 4 Diploma in Aesthetic Procedures for Skin Rejuvenation and associated Certificates is to provide learners with an understanding of the knowledge and skills to carry out advanced beauty therapy/aesthetic procedures, enabling learners to gain the necessary skills and essential underpinning knowledge to work commercially as a Practitioner. The diploma will also provide opportunities for learners to develop the necessary competencies to move on to further study or employment. This can be the first step on a new learning progression through to level 7.
Units
Your Qualifi Level 4 Diploma in Aesthetic Procedures for Skin Rejuvenation course is composed of 8 Units. All the units must be completed in order to achieve your qualification.
The course has a total of 580 Total Qualification Time (TQT) and 360 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) and is made up of 58 credits which will be delivered over a period of 11 months.

Your Training Journey
Each week you will have the opportunity to attend zoom sessions for your online theory with your allocated Qualifi tutor plus in addition tutorial sessions. Your training will begin with an induction week which will include zoom sessions and reading materials.
Zooms will be held in groups with slots per week allocated per group. These sessions are mandatory and are part of your guided learning hours (GLH) which you are required to fulfil throughout your learning. Failure to not meet the required GLH could result in non-certification from the Awarding Body.
Most importantly, you will have 11 months to complete all 8 units. Failure to complete within this timeframe will result in you not receiving certification from the Awarding Body.
All practical elements per unit will be scheduled in in month 10 and month 11 with the final assessments in month 12, as well as written and oral exams.
These will be communicated to you at least 6 weeks prior in order to make the necessary travel arrangements. You will need to attend the academy for practical sessions for assessment, Internal quality assurance and the external quality assurance visits from Qualifi. Case studies can be carried out within the student’s own clinic/salon setting.
Entry Requirements
The qualification has been designed to be accessible without artificial barriers that restrict access. For this qualification, applicants must be aged 18 or over, who have achieved a Level 3 qualification or apprenticeship in Beauty Therapy or have equivalent qualifications and/or substantial industry experience for direct entry to Level 4.
For direct entry to the QUALIFI Level 4 Diploma in Aesthetic Procedures for Skin Rejuvenation the unit AP301 Skincare to support aesthetic procedures must be selected as one of the optional units to ensure learners have the essential underpinning knowledge for the various aesthetic procedure units within the qualification.
The aesthetic practitioner must have a First Aid at Work qualification or equivalent and be able to carry out the functions within SFHCHS36: Basic life support and know where to access life support equipment as identified in the complication management plan.

Total Qualification Time (TQT): is an estimate of the total amount of time that could reasonably be expected to be required for a learner to achieve and demonstrate the achievement of the level of attainment necessary for the award of a qualification.
Examples of activities that can contribute to Total Qualification Time includes guided learning, independent and unsupervised research/learning, unsupervised compilation of a portfolio of work experience, unsupervised e-learning, unsupervised e-assessment, unsupervised coursework, watching a pre-recorded podcast or webinar, unsupervised work-based learning.
Guided Learning Hours (GLH): are defined as the time when a tutor is present to give specific guidance towards the learning aim being studied on a programme. This definition includes lectures, tutorials and supervised study in, for example, open learning centres and learning workshops, live webinars, telephone tutorials or other forms of e-learning supervised by a tutor in real time. Guided learning includes any supervised assessment activity; this includes invigilated examination and observed assessment and observed work-based practice.
